Hi

I recently posted a topic about having problems with uploading RAW photos from my camera to my PC. I now have a laptop which has no memory issues, but when I try and import RAW phots from my camera in Adobe Lightroom I get the following error message:

Some import operations were not performed

Failed to find a place for the imported file. (17)
The files appear to be unsupported or damaged (1)

I was shooing in RAW + Jpeg.

Any idea what's wrong? :[

Try importing the files onto the computer by yourself. Then after the files are already in a folder, import them into lightroom. I've got lightroom set to monitor my My Pictures folder, and subfolders. Once that's done, you can go into lightroom, click a subfolder and click synchronize, for lightroom to update any new files that weren't there before.

It seems that the problem occurs on two different computers so it's unlikely that it is a problem with either one of your computers. I think it's best to try and limit the number of variables in this so first do what Greg says, then try importing with different formats (RAW only or JPEG only) and also different memory cards.

Try reformat the card from within the camera, that can sometimes solve the "unsupported format" issues.

Are you using the latest LR version? Which camera do you use? With the latest sw update?
