Not sure if this is place for this question but here it goes.I was doing some light reading (Tom Ang's Digital Photography Masterclass ) and he said that shooting in Adobe RGB (1998) gives you richer colors then sRGB. I am using Adobe Lightroom and shooting in RAW so dose lightroom change the color space automatically?

Hi John,

I've moved this over to the Imaging Software section. I created this post a while ago which may be of interest. The bottom line, for me, is that until I get an AdobeRGB capable monitor I might as well work in sRGB. From memory, most of the print bureaus out there use sRGB as well, although I imagine the really high end outfits use AdobeRGB.

Adobe is the standard to use especially when printing your images, also the 40D (not sure all canons) has the option to turn on adobe in the camera settings.

Would you please tell me what the 's' stands for in sRGB as opposed to Adobe RGB? Thank you!

In sRGB the little s stands for standard. I use AdobeRGB by the way....
