Do you plan to issue a Camera Labs Buyer's Guide on software

Actually, I'm lost between

1. iPhoto and Camera Labs Buyer's Guide (both bundled with my iMac),
2. Pentax Laboratory (bundled with the K10D),
3. Aperture (30 days free trial, Mac only) http://www.apple.com/aperture/trial/,
4. DXo Optics (21 days free trial): the 4.5 releases supports the K10D and both the 28-55mm and 50-200mm zooms http://www.dxo.com/intl/photo/free_demo,
5. PhotoShop,
6. Gimp http://www.gimp.org/,
7. and others not listed...

[EDIT] The idea is not an in-depth review but to give an better idea of which software is suitable for which purpose. (Thanks Zorro )

I think an in-depth review of any one editing package is probably beyond the scope of this site but out of the ones short-listed I'd like to know more about DXO Optics. Aperture's out the window because I run Windows and DXO is the only one I don't already have.

PhotoShop is included in the initial list but, you're right, I forgot CaptureNX.

Is CaptureNX valid only for Nikon camera or for all dSLR? For that reason, I didn't mention Pentax Laboratory since only available and valid with Penax cameras.

Technically speaking, how to update the list?

CaptureNX does only read Nikon-RAW, but many things like the fantastic color control points can also be used with jpeg. You canalso save your work n a jpeg original als Nikon-RAW which allows you to restrace (and change) all processing steps. That is, you never change the original
