I'd like to make an analysis of my shooting habits. What percentage of shots I take at what focal length especially. Does anyone know of any nice little software utility that I can do this with?

It's basically just a matter of reading al the EXIF data, putting it in a little database and showing me some relevant results or allowing me to make queries to the database. A utility that would simply create a database in a standard format would be sufficient too. Then I can simply import it in Access and query the database there.

There seem to be a few utilities that can do something of the sorts but the only utility I tried apparently doesn't understand working with subdirectories so you need to add every folder separately. It is also rather slow.

So I think it might be more efficient to use the experience of other people who have tried to do this. I guess others here would find it of interest too.

Anyone any experience with this?

What operating system are you using? I saw a tool for OS X which would analyse Lightroom databases and pull out EXIF information that Lightroom didn't show.

I'm looking for Windows software. Something that only needs the photo files to extract the EXIF data from.

Just played with exposure plot, it's giving some interesting charts Apparently my all time most used settings are 80mm, ISO400, f/4.5, 1/160s (not necessarily all at the same time!).
