any ideas folks why CS3 wont open raw files from my 40D..........??

it worked no problems with mt previous Olympus E500.......

i realise the canon comes with it own software but i don't like it and wish to use cs3.

........ check to see if you need to update the raw converter within PSCS3...... it will be on the Adobe site under updates or support

As Big Pix says you need to update your camera raw the version you need is Camera Raw V4.3 at least for your 40D, think they are up to V4.3.1 now for some newer cameras

yep, every update for adebe camera raw converter adds support for the latest camera models :) i had problems with opening raw files from an eos 400d in photoshop cs2 but after an update everything seems to be allright, it's works just perfect :)
