I've got a couple of questions, I can see the subtle difference between the following options, but what exactly is happening when I use the following sliders? And when to use which one?

contrast vs clarity
vibrance vs saturation

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. All I do now is fiddle around untill it seems ok :P, but I suppose there is a little more to it than that...

Thanks ahead!

There are subtle differences...but I can't quite put my finger on what they are exactly. I'm interested to know as well.
