With the EOS 40D, The software that use live view from the computer is EOS Digital Solution Disc right, and it can do the dust delete data thing right?

EOS Utilities does remote Live View. It should start as soon as you switch your camera on provided the camera is connected to the PC via the USB cable.

I've never had to use the Dust Delete functionality but, from memory, I would expect this to be handled by DPP.

Do I have to buy the DPP separatly, and how much is it?

Yep, it's done by DPP and it comes with every Canon DSLR.

PS - But it didn't work on the 40D when I tried mine...

Kriss, I think you have to count on having a blower and manually cleaning the sensor from time to time. None of the anti dust systems I've tested have worked 100%.

I got dust on my sensor now, only found it because I was looking for it. Not bothering me yet but the cleaning system does nothing to it.

Check out Canon's website for a good video walkthrough of how to use DPP in easy to understand terms. It doesn't cover a lot on using dust delete data, but it does cover manually removing dust with DPP.
