Hi

This is just a random picture that I googled but I was hoping someone could clarify how you perform this technique? I have just purchased Lightroom, was hoping to know the name of the technique.

In addition, I have seen photos where different areas of the photo show one particular colour with the remainder black and white? Is it just as simple to carry this out too?

I know it's arguably beginner creativity but I was hoping to have a play around with this technique on some photos I have already taken.

thoughts and feedback much appreciated :)

It's called selective coloring (or colouring)... that might help refine your google search

It's called selective colour. In lightroom, you take your editing paintbrush, and set the saturation slider to 0. You then paint over the bits that you want in BW.
