Digital Photo Professional v3.8+ is what I think is the newest version of DPP. I've looked around searching canon's site and can't seem to find it. I was hoping to download it from canon's site not a 2nd party download if I don't have to.

any help, thank you.

Hi csmonte,

You should always be able to find the latest versions on the software pages for current models. Even though cameras may be discontinued they are generally supported so if there's a feature you want head on over to, say, the Canon USA 1D4 page. Before you install it's always a good idea to back up the previous set of installation files and I'd also recommend installing the latest versions of all the Canon software. From memory at least once since the 40D was released DPP and EOS Utility wouldn't talk to each other unless both were upgraded.

Bob.

Those are all firmwares, not DPP as far as i can tell.

It took me abit of googling and a lot of 'stop-being-retarded' to find the newest version.

Click me!

You go there, you choose your OS and the first thing on the list is DPP 3.11.0.something - that should be the newest version, atleast newer than 3.8.something.

Same page holds the newest EOS utility updates, picture style editors, raw codecs and whatever else canon supplies. If something is missing check the 1dx site, that list was long as ...

Hope I helped, and that i'm correct.

thanks for your help moose. And I noticed some nice changes. expecially like the crop/adjustment to straiten an image. But yes that is what I needed, I guess my dinosaur doesn't show updates anymore.

I looked at some of your posts, awesome auto pics. Rally, awesome, as well as the formula pics. I can't believe they were so good with a 300mm 5.6 on most of them. assuming its a zoom not a prime. either way, they look great.

Hi csmonte,

Sorry, I missed your reply of Dec. 21st.

The link I originally gave works just fine. Of course you have to select your OS before the page offers any software...

Bob.
