Hey guys,

Recently I lost all my pictures while transferring, the XTI ran out of juice. Can someone show me how to repair the jpg header? Looking at hex edit I see the letters are all jumbled up.

Thanks in advance

Here is sample file if anyone could spare a few minutes to check out

Are the files still on the card?
Have you taken any other photos with the card since?

Personally I think you'd have an easier time using an undelete tool to recover the intact photos from the card than trying to edit the header until an image editor can open it.

Deleting a file from a fat32 filesystem won't actually do anything to the data until new files start being written. So, they might still be on the card. I saved 3GB of video this way.

yeah as above, do a file recovery, and dont use the card until you have.

Thanks these files are recovered from a program, I formatted the cards. I tried following the steps to replace the header in a hex edit program, but can't achieve this :/ The letters are all jumbled up, I am hoping someone can try to fix this with a sample file I provided.
