Well, this is one of the things I hate about computers: I just took my laptop from the network and marched over to my primary printer - the one that refused to print the text-overlays. Connected via USB and it happily printed all text-overlays.
Then I connected the printer back to the printer-server, went back to my LAN cable, connected the laptop to the LAN and printed the same file via the printer-server, and guess what? Now it worked flawlessly too
So the exact same setup that before refused to work properly now worked without a hitch.
But during my tests PSP X3 did not left the most stable impression. In the few days I tried it out I had more hang-ups of this software than with all the other software on my computer since months
Perhaps it's not the most bug-free piece of program...
