I thought I'd mention that today at www.giveawayoftheday.com you can download a piece of software called 'Atmosphere Lite Plus' which has some nice 'relaxing' slideshows with appropriate background sounds. But.... You can also create slideshows with your own photos and combine it with a combination of user-selectable sounds to create that extra bit of atmosphere.

Although on the only system I've currently installed it on oddly enough this particular feature to make your own slideshows won't work, others have reported it to work. It would be even nicer if you could select different background sounds for every individual picture but perhaps such a feature will be implemented in a next version. Still, if you like an easy way to add some ambient sounds to your photos you might want to give it a try in its current version too.

The principle behind this site, if you don't know it already, is that each day for 24 hours you can download software for free that otherwise is payware. You have to install and register it during that 24 hour period. Today's offer runs until 11-5-2010 0700 UTC.
