 Post subject: HDR software

I just found out the PS7 i bought a few years back can't do HDR. Any recomendations on hopefully free plugins? If not hoping not to have to drop another few humdred on Cs2

It's not really HDR, but you could overlay various versions of the same shot and take the best exposed parts out of them? (or different shots, if you can overlay them manually).

A local contrast/clarity option is often used in combination with HDR, i don't know if that's in PS7 though. Same story for high pass filters to get some extra detail out of the image and add punch.

Have a look at Photomatix (http://www.hdrsoft.com/) not free, but not expensive and there's a free trial version. You process in this software then finalise in Photoshop. Derek
