I'm totally new to the whole RAW thing. Just got a panasonic G1 and taken my first RAW pics. I'm very impressed, the RAW pics are so much sharper, like a veil has been lifted from the image. Problem is, how do I translate these RAW files to real life prints. I usually use Snapfish for prints but AFAIK they only take JPEGs, but if I save my RAW file as a JPEG using Silkypix it loses that nice clarity. Saving it as a TIFF keeps the quality but I dont know what to then do with this TIFF file.
Will I need to burn it to disc and take it into a high street printers - or even then, will the shop just convert it to a JPEG before printing?
