Sorry if this has been discussed before, I searched but could not find what I was looking for.

What is the best entry level photo editor for someone that's relatively new to it? Would it be one of the ones I listed in the header or something else?

Thanks

Elements 7, is meant to be VERY good value for money! Its also meant to be a great suite, although Paintshop Pro is not so popular, and well known, so bear that in mind when you are looking for tutorials on the web!

I have Elements 7, and as far as it goes it will do for "regular" tweaks to shots, and does that well.

On PSP, I only have version 7 which is was out of date so I can't compare it with the latest version.

Both of them are available as trials, so download them and give them ago.

I didn't really like the interface of Photo X2, and I found performance to be an issue. While PE7 may lack some more advanced features found in Photoshop, I've found it to be a rather capable RAW editor and well worth the money.

Thanks,
podgeorge, popo, & pgtips;

From what you've said and I've read elseware on this site I think Elements 7 is probably a good start.

Cheers!
