I have been using DXO Optics demo today, it does a great job with lens correction and all the rest. But I have noticed that when it has finished processing images you can see a before and after shot in the review section, which seems to be completely inaccurate to the original photo if compared in another program. I'm not sure if their just trying to make people think the software is better than you think or if there is another reason.

Anyone else ever noticed?

All RAW converters produce different results. Given the same processing parameters, each RAW converter will produce different output. There is no "right" way and it's really down to the photographer to tweak the settings to match their taste.
