I just got a D90 and shoot in raw/fine/large mode so I can adjust files later (novice user so figured the most available adjustment wise the better).
I did load in the nikon transfer v1.1.1 software that came with it as well as the ViewNX v1.1.1 and I have read thru them and used them a bit for moving photos over to the pc and changing a few from color to B/W but I wondered what software out there do most of you all use for further adjustments and ease of use with a balance of power and price?
I do have a very old version of photoshop on my ancient laptop Photoshop 5.5 from i think 1999, but i did move a few photos via thumbdrive over to the laptop to do some cropping and other adjustments (just a pain to do that everytime i want pics edited).
One problem i had tho with the photoshop was i could only bring over jpgs not the RAW NEF files, it wouldn't see them (is that cuz my photoshop is so old?).
So I was really curious what most were using out there these days so i don't waste money on the wrong product. Can't afford a full cs3 or cs4 suite but can probably swing upto $150-$200 (USA) total cost.
Thanks for any input,
Bill
