If you are happy to spend more than the price of a Canon EOS 5D MkII in order to mount your DSLR on your shoulder for video use then maybe Zacuto's latest offering such as this one may be of interest as they are available with a proper optically corrected LCD viewfinder attachmant as illustrated.

But for the same money you can buy a couple of return tickets from Europe to New Zealand and still have enough cash left over to get down to Queenstown and have lunch with Gordon.
