The joystick head seems to be quite convenient, but might not be able to hold a high load.

I have those legs. Love them to pieces cant say anything negative.

I tried one of those grip head things in a store though and didnt really like them, so Id advise doing the same. Do know people who swear by them mind, but Id definitely suggest trying them first.

I've got that exact combination and am very happy with it. I flipped the handle on the head over to the left hand side and it makes it very fast to adjust while keeping one hand on the camera.

I don't know how well it will support a DSLR with a large lens as I've not tried it, but it holds my S9600 and TCON 17 well enough, which is quite a lump.

Hey all

Thx a lot for your valuable input

After some "lurking" over the internet I decided to buy tripod and joystick head mentioned in the first post!

Where in Europe (e-store) are you buying your photo equipment?

Hi there, the 322RC2 is a very popular joystick head, although there is a now a newer version. Remember joystick heads are mostly for quick recompositions, rather than panning in video for example.

As fore the 055 legs, read my review:

http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Manfr ... OB_tripod/

They're good, but pretty heavy. If weight is an issue and you can afford to spend more, consider the carbon fiber 055CXPRO version. I use that model for a lot of my tests.

Don't forget to shop through our partner stores to support cameralabs!

I don't really use video function a lot

I shoot primary nature and some portraits.
Is Cullman

compatible with Manfrotto joystick head?

What would you buy for around 250€ (I prefer something I could buy in Europe)
