I had been keeping an eye out for an opportunity to get a good shot at the Moon to see how my camera would perform on this subject. Tonight I got that chance. Don't worry. It don't think it suffered any permanent damage.
I used a custom white balance to get an accurate colour. On auto it had that orangey-brownish colour that you see on many moon shots. White balance is an easily forgotten setting.
I made an 800x600 100% crop and increased the contrast a bit.
1/60 - f/8 - ISO 64 - 486mm - Tripod - IS off - Self Timer - Fuji S8000fd
If conditions remain favourable I might try to get a shot at the actual Full Moon in two days time.
The only problem is that it's not as if you've never seen a Moon shot before.
So to make up for that I've included a link to an on-line
radio station that generally plays some nice relaxed music (I'd call it 'American Classics') so you've at least found something that you probably hadn't 'seen' before. Maybe you'll like it and maybe not.
