I'm not sure about this, but this is my story and what i think.
Earlier in July i discovered that there was a very bright shining object in the sky visible a few hours before midnight and a few hours after midnight.
I was wondering what that object was, so i found a application on the internet where you can enter your coordinates, date and time and the program them show you where the moon is and its state.
However... when i used this application and entered coordinates, date and time the program showed me that it most likelly was Jupiter that i was.
ok, now, how cool wasnt that.
I then tried taking picture of it in several ways. Tripod, remote trigger etc etc... but i didnt succeed. The focus was poor and i didnt get it to work.
Then it occured to me... My 40D has live view, and i can attach the camera to my laptop and then pinpoint the focus and try to get it as good as possible. Well, said and done.... But it still wasnt easy.
This image is what i got, and i have edited it a little bit in CameraRaw and then cropped it in Photoshop and applied a small amount of smart sharpen.
Camera used: Canon EOS 40D
Lens: Canon EF 70-200/4L IS USM
Method: Live view + remote shooting with a laptop.
Out of curiosity.... is it Jupiter? And most importantly... is it Jupiters moons i can see?
