Hi,
Thought it would be nice to have a aviation-thread where we put our thoughts and pictures about airplanes, helicopters and other flyingmachines.

And ofcourse constructive feedback so that we can become even better photographers.

Cheers

Yes, please post airshow pics if you have some.
I guess the airshows will begin in sweden in about a few months as the spring is evolving. I might try to get a few shots then.

The Vickers VC10 - still 'Queen of the Sky' in my book!

This was my maiden outing for my D60. Taken 27/03/08 No editing, just some cropping, as I only have a 18--55 lens at the moment. I'll be getting a 55-200 VR pretty soon so will have to return to the end of rwy 28 at Brize Norton again soon!

Hi Jim - I think the RAF VC10s make weekly trips to the US, visiting USAF bases- there is one in Washington DC at the moment. I live over the road from their base a RAF Brize Norton and see them come and go all the time. At the moment they due to be replaced by the Airbus tankers in about 2013. But in the meantime they still shatter the local silence and grace the skies. I think this must be a record for an aircraft flying across the Atlantic, which the VC10 has been doing since 1964, first with BOAC and BA, and now with the RAF

Michael
