Camera Labs

Here's a very old image taken using the original Hyperstar (no adjustment screws) and a tiny 1.4 Megapixel one-shot colour CCD camera - the SXV-H9C. I wanted to capture the "thundercloud" region between M43 and the "Running Man". The image is smooth, not because a Noise Reduction program was used, but due to there being over 100-subs in the image stack.

I was flicking through your book the other night and saw this one I think... it did make me think that we often look at either object, but not pay so much attention to the bit in between.

If skies will clear up again any time soon I hope to have a go at this one myself too.

Yes, do have a go at this one Popo, there's plenty of contrasty bits here. But I don't hold out much hope in the way of any clear skies soon Looking at my log book, November is often a washout weather-wise for imaging.
