Hi folks,

Thought I'd bone up on the "Drift Method" of polar aligning a mounting before setting up my own new mount and drilling the final set of holes in the mounting plate. There are lots of articles out there on how to do this (example) but a video can be worth a thousand words:
Bob.

Drift alignment is a definate must-do for a serious imager, but only really if you have a permanent set up otherwise too much time would be lost each session.

When I plan to build my obsy I will definatley be drift aligning.

For those who guide with PHD you an also use that to help with drift aligning, check out this link:

http://njstargazer.org/PolarAlignment.asp

I think between the three links we should be able to get drift aligning nailed.
