Noel recently processed this one to go along with the Cor Caroli (Alpha Canum Venaticorum) image. This time it's Chara (Beta Canum Venticorum) and a cameo appearance courtesy of the Cocoon Galaxy. Quite a nice region of space which to the naked eye is pretty much empty.

For a second, I thought it was the Cocoon Nebula!

Looks awesome regardless.

I just glanced at the thread title containing the word 'Cocoon', so the first thought that came to my mind was that it's the cocoon nebula rather than the galaxy because well, at least in my mind, the nebula is more widely known. :)

I've just had one of an increasing number of senior moments. I had no idea what you meant by the Cocoon Nebula - and yet I have of course imaged it - many times
