I too joined the bandwagon to take advantage of the Moon being at its closest.

There was a lot of cloud cover but there were spots of clear skies.

This was the best shot with a bit of PS to sharpen the maria.

Camera: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6
Focal Length: 300mm
Aperture: f/11
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Sensitivity: ISO 100
Exposure Bias: -2
Post processing: PS Overlay image with Unsharp Mask

It's a really good effort. Most people don't realize that it's harder to capture when the moon is full. The details are washed out by the light. I prefer the first or third quarter.
