Actually mate its not as dark as you may think, but I am out in the countryside which does help!

Im in a small village, so Ill give it a try when it's clear (maybe tomorrow!) with the 50mm f/1,7.
I get more than 2 times as much light as you with 70mm 2,8, so I could halve the exposure time. That results in a less good polar allignment needed, which I cant do really good.
