It has really been cold over the northern sphere, so I guess it’s time to show some of the crystal formations e.g. The photo below shows the fractal alike crystal formations that have come on the surfaces of my windows this year:

In the real world the length of the longest side is 18cm and on my monitor the image measurers 26cm, so that is a 1,4x magnification (1,4cm is 1 cm in the real world on my monitor). I could have shown a 2x bigger magnification (still sharp), yet “only” 1000 pixel is allowed (fine with me btw). The crystals only appear after a night of strong frost – so it was good that I was quick yesterday, because now the crystals are all gone!
