As Christmas approaches rapidly, so does a Festive deep-sky object - the Christmas Tree cluster(and the Cone nebula) in the constellation Monoceros which is right next door to Orion. Data collected at the New Forest Observatory by Greg Parker and processed in Florida U.S.A. by Noel Carboni. Data collected using a Takahashi Sky 90 telescope at f#4.5 and a Starlight Xpress SXVF-M25C one-shot colour camera. Enjoy
P.S. The thing that looks like a comet bottom-right is Hubble's Variable nebula.
