The attached image is a Sky 90/M25C wide field capture of the gravitationally lensed Quasar APM0279+5255 in the constellation Lynx.
This is around 4 hours of total exposure time using 10-minute subs.
The region containing the Quasar is boxed in yellow and is shown magnified in the lower image.
This Quasar is over 12-billion light years away and the supermassive black-hole associated with this Quasar is estimated at 20 billion Solar masses.
In 2011 vast amounts of water vapour were discovered around the Quasar - the oldest and largest mass of water in the known Universe - 140 trillion times more water than in all the Earth's oceans combined.
All in all this is a very remarkable object.
Greg

Actually - because it is so red and so bright it was mistaken for a Carbon star in our own galaxy - until a redshift of 3.78 was measured!!

That should also read APM0279+5255
