This is the first image taken with my Celestron C8 SCT. Mounted on a HEQ5 Pro. Cano 40D + ISO 200 + Focal Reducer 6.3 + T ring adapter. Processed in Nebulosity.

Nice shot - is it cropped, or is that the full image - be great if you could also include a link to the original file so we can see the detail and sharpness.

Added some sharpening, contrast, adjusted White balance and some heavy noise reduction technique.

Nice. Should be possible to to get even more detail under good conditions as you get more practice.

I know I can. this was taken way too early in the evening while the moon was still sitting in the murk. I did this shot basicly to test my equipment and see if I can focus. I got my Autoguider on friday and I should get the ring/shoe to fix my guiding scope next week or so. After that I will be able to provide much more interesting target. (the messier catalog).
