i am in clarksburg, west virginia....the skies are clear, and i have my canon sx10is on a small solidex tp-66 tripod at 1/125, 8.0, and 100 ISO with a timed shutter release. getting several great (in my opinion) shots tonight.

Not the amount of detail you received but I dont have the amount of zoom you have either.

I guess I need to invest in some better glass :D

Also need to try to adjust the focus better... Hopefully the skies will be clear tomorrow for another go.

wow, i like that shot...i was going to go out last night and shoot a few; however, i fell asleep in the recliner due to advancing age...

Well, there is no need to stay up all night if you want to take some shots of the moon. You can see the moon at the middle of the day ;)

I figured out my main issue. Its was a newbie mistake and I wasnt shooting it from the center of my lens I was catching it near the corner. once I got it centered it went real well
