My first attempt is nowhere near where I want to be. Saturn is quite small and I was using a refractor instead of my C8. I could have use the extra 3" aperture and the double focal lenght. Saturn was very low and I was still in the murk. The Perigee Moon didn't help either.

I will spare you guys from my horrible first try.

Hi folks,

In an earlier post I drew attention to Starlight Express and their CoStar. If, like me, you were on their mailing list to be notified when CoStar became available you might want to avoid purchase direct from Starlight Express with their quoted £275 price. As I write you can buy CoStar from Ian King Imaging for £76 less than the direct from the factory price.

As for me, while I'd like to support a British company I take considerable exception to what Starlight Express tried to do there. SBIG's ST-i may be more expensive but it does offer a mechanical shutter, 16 bit A/D, comes in color or monochrome and also seems to be bundled with an older version of "The Sky" so maybe I'll get one of those when they email me with their own offer. I'll post in this thread if I do.
