Anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get some really good star trails? Any specific tutorials maybe that are worth linking? Thanks for the help!

I was inspired by Digz's earlier posts and working from that.

Using 'continuous' long exposures combined with dark frame removal to save processing it in camera.

The rest is down to setup. I had slight wobbles in mine which I think is transmitted through the ground. So something really sturdy and doesn't move for the camera helps. I found focusing to be hard. Don't be afraid to use a moderate/high ISO to have sensitivity. And my weakness is to find an interesting foreground subject to balance the composition with.

Within these three posts I explain how I achieved my star trails. They are primarily done with a intervalometer which is built into my D200 however the same can be achieved with a remote cable release and setting your camera to shoot continuously.

That would be a sensible idea, and I would be willing to write a small tutorial on this is the mods / admin dont mind (however someone will have to let me know where to put it.)

Hi Digz, sure thing, write a tutorial with some embedded examples, and we'll make any required modifications, then make it sticky. I'll also make my easy astrophotography guide sticky too...
