Sort of sports and sort of night citscape photos here.

I got an invite to a friend's apartment in Jumeirah Beach Residence yesterday so took some kit along. We were on the 12th floor and around 400m from the action, but it was a great night. We were quite a distance from the action, and the greatest focal length i've got in the bag is 300mm @ f5.6, so with the high ISO capability of the D90 not being amazing I wasn't holding out for any great images!


Anyway, first up is a view from JBR @35mm on a crop sensor (F4, handheld at ISO400), followed by some of the riders (ISO800+, F8 as it's a little soft at F5.6, 300mm, 1/200th in Manual Mode)

These shots were from 2 years ago - I have some closer shots from last year...
