Apologies in advance for the image quality. This Spitfire XIV did a flypast this morning as part of the annual Battle of Britain observances at the National War Memorial in Wellington NZ. The aircraft is owned by relatives of Al Deere, a Battle of Britain Ace, and a kiwi to boot.
I had to post the picture despite it being a tiny fragment of the whole image. It's not every day a real live spitfire flies past.

The Spitfire's a very elegant plane. Always a pleasure to see photo's of it. This particular one would probably benefit from brightening up a bit so it'll show more detail and colour.

When in doubt..... Press the shutter.

That's a great photo, you could try some PS editing to make it look older (era of the spitfire)... don't forget to share it back in here... looking forward

Nice one i use to be a member of the Battle of Britain memorial flight, quite a few years ago now, and got to talk to the pilots of the spitfire, hurricane and Lancaster.
I even had the privilege to sit in the pilots seat and tail gunners seat in the Lancaster, as i use to restore WW2 aircraft
