Hello Everyone,

At school I'm involved in the Outdoor Pursuits Program, so we do alot of kayaking, climbing, hiking, etc... We recently hosted a local Whitewater Kayak race on the Cowichan River, and I volunteered to take some pictures of the event, and some of my friends were competing in it and were in need of a new facebook profile picture

Anyways, here are the shots! I really enjoyed shooting this event. Everyone really appreciated the images, I learnt alot, and it was tons of fun. All images were taken with my D90 + 18-200 VR, and edited minimally.

Thanks 4xxxx, Luckily I had a good vantage point right along the river, and I was literally only about ten feet away from the kayakers at some points.

I agree with the above - I was wondering how you got so close - the photos all look like your right in the water with them. Great Job.

Very nice shots Eric!
I especially like number 4, with all the small water droplets crisp and clear!

Loosecanon, I can't wait to see those shots then!

And thanks for the fantastic comments everyone. I thought that I should also mention that some of my pictures are being published on various websites, newspapers, and school blog/news.
