Good first efforts at panning there, workscooper...

I take it these are with the Sigma. It is definitely more difficult than it looks, especially as the evening draws in. I gave up shooting at dusk during the recent Abu Dhabi GP weekend as I preferred to watch the race itself! What shutter speeds and focal length were you using in 2 and 3 of the set?

Hi Phil

Thanks for the comments. It certainly was getting more difficult as the day went on and it got darker.

Was using the Sigma, second shot of the four at 119mm, f4.5, ISO at 200, third shot at 100mm, f4.5, ISO 200

Got some more pics below that vary in quality

Shot at 100mm, f4.5, ISO 100

300mm, f5.6, ISO 100

114mm, f4, ISO 800

Didn't make it to a GP this year but roll on Belgium next year!! Would love to have been in Abu Dhabi

Well I would definitely prefer a Gold Stand seat at Eau Rouge and day of the week!

Abu Dhabi GP is incredibly expensive, and not worth it if travelling from Europe in my opinion. The cheapest seats (which had the best views) started at around 220 GBP for the Saturday and Sunday. Add in flights, accommodation and F&B and it's a bit much!!!

I had a few mates saying "I'll come" which resulted in a huge whack on the credit card! But a great weekend nonetheless!
