These are some shots from the local Downhill mtb race. unfortunately, i couldn't race this weekend, but that just freed up more time to take photos.

I would consider getting closer, I know it can be pretty scary but in DH you can get much better shots if you get closer.

i tried a couple of panning shots, but it wasn't working out too well for me. next time, i'll stick with it and try and get some practice.
