Thought I'd put up some of my better shots from a bike-race in Nathrop CO this weekend.

Well, the flash was pretty strong and the rider turned kinda "flat/shallow" (almost looks like he's pasted on the background) comparing to the 1st photo where the subject has more depth (and that's what we try to do in photography, we don't want our photos to looks like a cardboard figure.
I also didn't like the composition (too close for my likes)
Just my opinion

p.s: my favorite is the first one because it has more depth, action and a great angle/composition.
#3 is good too but if you would wait half a second and would let him pass the flag it would be a little better (I know, you don't really think about it when shooting).
