Okay, shot this just a few days after I got my D90. This was also my introduction to action photography. Bumped the ISO to 1600, which led to a 1/3200 shutter speed (very sunny day).

I have no clue what he's doing, but I liked the outcome:

In my opinion you should have used lower ISO and a slightly slower shutter time (even half the speed you used would be enough)
As you see there are many burned parts in your photos that are not very pleasant to the eye...
Nice pictures none the less.

What exactly do you mean by burning? Do you mean blown highlights, or noise artifacts?

I can imagine 800 or 1000 ISO would've been fine for the job too, but hey, I didn't know what was sufficient to freeze actions
