great shots, i know you cant always pick your location but the packground is too busy for me, kinda makes the subject not that noticeable.

maybe a bit of panning so the background would have been blurred would be better?

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I agree with you about the backgound, it's a shame that it takes away from the action in the image as the riders were doing some amazing moves. The event was held on dusk in the village so background from any angle was a real issue here. When these images were taken I had only just bought my first slr and really didn't know how to use it, winter is only weeks away and I'm jumping at the bit to get some great action images over the next couple of months. If I get soome good ones I'll put them on here for review.

In addition to everything that has been said before (the busy background) I would also use a longer focal length.
