 Post subject: sports...

Good day...Can someone tell me into "detail" on how to shoot sports particularly basketball game?...i know i have limited lens...I've got an 18-55 kit lens and 50mm lens...But maybe its not the best sports shot i can get but at least for now i can practice a little bit til i get a telephoto les...Thank you... :D

Depends a bit on if its indoor or outdoor. But in both cases you need to get pretty close to the court with that lens. Also put the camera in Av and chose the lowest possible aperture. And Put the iso at like 800 if its outdoor and probably 1600 if its indoor.

Those are just tips, not strickt rules. Try to experiment a bit.

first u want to meter the light, if the light is constant, then manual control will be the good. set the speed up to 1/500 or higher. set the aperture to bigger as possible, and then compensate with iso sensitivities.

and then sit under the basket and focus, shoot shoot shoot.

50mm is good for basketball than kit lens, because the max aperture is 1-2 stop better.
