I went to a Go-Karting track today (which i raced in) and also used it as a good excuse to try out some action shots, never done it before.
I used the Sport mode on my Nikon D60 and didnt change anything else, just pointed and shooted. Although my ISO was in 200 as i forgot to change it back to 100 (unless sport mode puts it in 200?)
I also used my 18-55mm VR lens that came with the camera, would of loved to get to 200mm for some better shots of corneres further away.
I took about 200 photos, and these are only ones i like as they show 'action' or 'success', which is an emotion which i think a photo should show, like some of the pictures, you can see some of the people really trying to drive hard, i hope you can see this too.
I'm only a beginner so all comments and tips welcomed!!
And a couple of shots i've photoshoped..
And before anyone says all those pictures are just a kind of stop-in-time action shot i did try some panning but the tyres didnt make very good photos, but here they are, i think i did an 'okish' job in keeping the kart in focus.
