Haven't seen improvements really, but I will check that with my next shooting

Yes, installed without issues. Canon are only admitting publicly to a couple of minor changes. On the other hand they have bumped the version number from 1.0.5 all the way to 1.1.0.

Operation of the camera seems unchanged but as the update procedure is so straightforward, provided the camera battery is fully charged, it seems rude not to install it.
