Nah, used it about 8 hours ago and it wasn't and it don't rattle.... never has.

Hmmm, not sure if this helps or further confuses the matter, but I have a 350D and a 400D here at the moment, and both have the same rattle...

Thanks for info about rattle.
Did google on exposure histogram as per advice in a previous post. First result seems to have some really useful info that will take a few days to peruse.

Now you have got me worried..... so I got the camera here in one hand and typing with the other and giving the camera a good old shake.... and no, no rattle unless I have gone deaf in the last five mins lol

Well you know what they say - if it ain't broke, er, don't break it!

Seriously if the general consenus is that it's the orintation sensor that's causing the rattle, but your camera still recognises and tags portait aspect shots fine, then I wouldn't worry...
