I need a wide angle lens for my canon rebel t3i but cant afford the canon EFS 10-22mm one, any suggestions on a cheaper alternative that is ok quality.

First, what are you looking to spend? Can it be fixed or does it have to be a zoom?

$200 is my maximum. Doesnt have,to be a zoom.Thanked

With just a $200 budget, you'll have to set low expectations of finding anything in working order.

If you're looking for wide-angle in the sense of wider than the kit lens, your best chance is a used Canon 17-85mm but if you're looking for close to 10mm, I can't think of any options, even in the used market.

Luck will probably be your biggest ally.

Samyang 8mm fisheye from around US$280 new on ebay. Perhaps you can find a used one cheaper.

Indeed though it doesn't have AF but if your plan is only to do landscape or architectural photography, it probably won't be an issue.

Save up for the 10-22mm it's worth it.

Got some of the gear but really still no idea...

Most of the wide angle zooms are comparable in performance, but start at different prices.
The older Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 is less expensive than the Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 for roughly the same performance.

However, 8mm would give you an even wider perspective and Samyang gives you a lot of value for your money.

None of the options available are wrong, it just depends on how much you want to spend and what you are looking for that might set one a part from another.
