The 18-55mm IS
OK, at the moment it's the 24-105mm 4L IS USM (OK, now that sounds crazy) but as it's not my lens I'll get back to the 18-55mm IS soon.


Might take some time until I have the time, but I'll put it on my list

Probably the Sigma 17-70, never really gets proper sharp and to be honest I don't like the 24-70L either, it's just too big and compared to my primes except for the 24mm Sigma it falls short in most cases.

Wow so much hate for the 75-300! I had this lens, used it for three years, and sure it's horribly build and the optics aren't all that great. But that's just if you are a more demanding user. It was a fine lens for me to learn from, and the USM really made it stand out for me over alternatives like the cheaper Sigma and Tamron at that time. The USM made it possible for me to do a bit of action and sports photography, and I am very happy that I have had this lens to do it with.

Now I have my 70-200/2.8 L USM: sure the optics of the 75-300 seem even worse than before, but still I think back at this lens with joy. You can call me crazy, but it just bugs me to see a lens I had fun learning with being hated so much .

There's 2 different versions of the 75-300mm III.
There is the USM version and the non-USM version.

Most of the people here are referring to the non-USM version, so the focusing was slower than the one you had.
Also, recall that people are referring to the worst lens they own.
Generally speaking, people only buy the 75-300mm when they first get their camera, and later replace it for something better.
So not matter how good it is or is not, if they replace it for something better, then most likely it will be one of the worst out of what they own.
This is to not necessarily state it is a bad lens for what it does and how much it costs.

All very much true, but still sounds pretty harsh seeing everyone crashing down on it with terms like "hands-down the worst evah" you know?

Just wanted to say I had a good time with it, and that I am also perfectly happy with my new 70-200/2.8 .
