I'm this close form buying a DSLR to complement my Canon S2IS. I keep going back and forth from the 400D to the Nikon D80. The 400D can't be beaten on value (cheaper, dust prevention, smaller, RAW software, etc, etc), ONLY significant complaint is the viewfinder. The D80 is miles ahead in this respect.

Any word out there that the 450D will be any better on this respect?. Are there after market "magnifiers" for the 400D viewfinder?

Hi Ronan_M, welcome to the Cameralabs forums!

We're all just speculating about the 400D's successor right now, so while a bigger viewfinder would be nice, who knows?!

Thanks Gordon. The itch is getting bigger, but I guess with some self-restrain, I can wait a few more weeks.

BTW, the site is great with lots of good info and the video reviews are fantastic!. Keep 'em coming
