i love it i love it i love it! took it out yesterday with the 10-22mm lens when i walked the dogs. yes it was a tad heavy with the leads round my neck too but i got some great shots of the dogs. i love wideangle! camera just feels so nice to use, the controls are exactly where you want them. so pleased with it!

That's great to here.

Photography should be fun and it sound like you are having fun. I'm going to take mine out soon and take some picts of my dogs too :-)

I have rescue dogs and the re-homing section of the vets want a picture of them. I told them I was just waiting to get a camera and then I would take a special one. It's been over a year now but I'm almost ready.

I started with the S60, then they upgraded up to the S80. then my mate suggested the DSRL. From then, I've gone from the 350D, 400D to now my new camera the Canon 40D.

Have you updated the firmware for the 30D. You will need a 2GB or less CF card to do this though.

Now at V1.0.5

Hi Leonak,

Great news - a nice frosty morning here yesterday so not only a chance for some good shots but clean dogs as well. :!:

I use the LowePro Topload Zoom 2 beltpack for my 40D but there are other choices out there of course. I don't notice the weight of the camera even on long hikes and it is always ready to hand. It's also a good way of carrying a few accessories but with my 24-105mm lens on the 40D there's no room for a second lens.

Bob.

iv got a tamrac adventure 7 but just wanted to take the camera without the hassle of a bag. i find it find in the bag with both the wide angle and the kit lens but it was quite heavy just hanging off my neck so i carried it most of the time. i think it wasnt helped by the amount of clothes i was wearing either!
